What we do
Hedge Garden Care provides comprehensive residential garden care, design and horticultural services in the Washington DC area.
Our team is made up of experienced horticultural professionals with over 20 years of experience. We provide thoughtful care with meticulous precision.
We pride ourselves on our extensive knowledge of trees, shrubs, perennials, grasses and annuals and our ability to create lasting, meaningful relationships with our clients.
Our Founders: Brian Hall
Brian has 30 years hands-on experience working in the horticulture industry both in the private and public sectors. He bagan his career with the Maryland National Capital Park and Planning Commision as a gardener. While with MNCPCC, Brian cared for their historic landscapes and worked at Lake Artemesia natural area to remove invasives and introduce native species to the landscape. His experience also includes work at the Smithsonian Botany Lab and over 10 years installing and caring for public and private gardens in the private landscape industry.

Our Founders: Lucia Bowes Hall
Lucia has 19 years of experience designing and project management for residential, commercial and botanic gardens of many scales. She received her Masters of Landscape Architecture from the University of Virginia and then worked in Washington DC for the Fitch Studio and Oehme, Van Sweden & Associates. While studying at UVA, Lucia interned at the Thomas Jefferson Center for Historic Plants at Monticello and was a Fellow at the American Landscape Academy in France. She also has 10-plus years with hands-on gardening, container design and installation.

Our team of gardeners work hard with us to provide excellent service with a great attitude and skill. Our vision for Hedge Garden Care is to be a place where we foster careers in horticulture and bring that expertise into the garden to carefully adapt with the ever-changing landscape.
